American swimmer Summer Sanders first caught the swimming world's attention in 1989 when she won three gold medals at the Pan Pacs. She then went on to join the USA Olympic swimming team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics where she won two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal in various events.
